OUR STORY

ArtsNational Coffs Coast (formerly ADFAS Coffs Coast) is a not-for-profit organisation run by volunteers, providing superbly illustrated, informative and entertaining lecture presentations on many diverse topics relating to the arts. We are a newly established group and part of the national ArtsNational (formerly ADFAS) network. Artsnational Coffs Coast will offering a full program of 10, monthly lectures in 2024 starting on Monday 5 February.

WHO ARE OUR LECTURERS?

They are recognised experts and passionate in their fields of interest. They can be international or local speakers drawn from a variety of professional backgrounds.

Our inaugural lecture with Curator, Kenneth Park was held on the 21 November 2022 on The Art of Agatha Christie. Guest presenters in 2023 included: Australian Lecturers Dr Sam Bowker, Susannah Fullerton, Julian Bickersteth and June Ross. International lecturers include Alan Read (UK), Leslie Primo (UK), Jacqui Ansell (UK), Chloe Sayer (UK), Kathy McLauchlan (UK) and Gillian Hovell (UK).

2024

Our 2024 Arts Talks Series will include Australian Lecturers Claudia Chan Shaw (Antiques Downunder - 9GEM), Dr Sally Gray and Susannah Fullerton and International lecturers Hilary Kay (Antiques Roadshow), David Worthington, Andy McConnell, Dr John Stevens, Vivienne Laws, Rosalynd Whyte and Paul Chapman.

WHAT ELSE DO WE DO?

ArtsNational Coffs Coast Young Arts philanthropy supports  arts opportunities for young people in Australia.

ArtsNational Coffs Coast may choose to be sole sponsors of a project or combine with other community organisations in joint ventures.

Young Arts projects are diverse and may include individual or group initiatives. Recipients can range from pre-schoolers to tertiary students.

Young Arts encompasses literature, music, photography, performing and fine arts.

ArtsNational Coffs Coast also supports young conservators through the ArtsNational philanthropic fund - the Patricia Robertson Fund.
